Tourwriter alternative for DMCsBuilt for corporate groups and the days they spend on the ground.
DMC Pilot is made for meetings, incentives and events: a corporate group, an air manifest, transfers, a run of show, a team on site and a margin to protect.
Tourwriter helps luxury and bespoke DMCs and travel designers build multi-day trips for individual travelers. It is a well-regarded tool for that work.
If your business is corporate programs, from a 40-guest incentive to a 600-guest congress, DMC Pilot is built for it.
Why DMCs choose DMC Pilot
Built around the corporate program
Each program has a client, a headcount, an air manifest, suppliers, a team and a sold price, all in one place.
Flights and transfers that keep up
The air manifest is tracked live and becomes transfer runs that re-time when flights move. We did not find manifests, transfer planning or a staff app described on Tourwriter's website.
Day sheets and a phone app for your team
Day sheets build themselves from the program. Your team gets a phone app with check-in lists that work without signal.
Answer RFPs and get signatures
Answer a corporate RFP with a costed proposal. The client signs online, then follows the program on a live page.
Suppliers and margin, live
Suppliers confirm in their own portal, and you see the margin on each program while it runs.
Airport transfers, day sheets, margin alerts and Client View are on Growth and up. The features page shows the plan for each feature.

Switching is simple
Some DMCs design bespoke leisure trips and also run corporate programs. If MICE is a growing part of your business, you can keep a leisure tool for FIT trips and run corporate programs in DMC Pilot.
Here is what you can bring across:
- Guest and rooming lists from CSV or Excel, on every plan. The columns are matched for you, so a list from another system needs no reformatting.
- Clients, suppliers and your price list through Data imports on Growth and up: CSV, Excel or PDF files, up to 20,000 new records at a time.
- Supplier price lists create the supplier with every price linked to it. You can upload up to 500 documents or a whole folder at once.
- Nothing is saved until you review it. Possible duplicates are flagged, and you confirm the import yourself.
Onboarding is hands-on and paid. We load your price list, suppliers and first programs with you. It usually takes two weeks:
- Week one. We go through the setup checklist with you: company profile and logo, your team and their roles, destinations, then your price list and supplier rates imported.
- Week two. Your suppliers are loaded and invited to their portal. We build two live programs together.
- From then on. Your team runs the programs, and we stay close through your first day on site.
Past programs are usually not worth moving. Keep them where they are, and start your next program in DMC Pilot.

Questions about Tourwriter and DMC Pilot
Is Tourwriter good for MICE?
Tourwriter describes itself as software for multi-day FIT trips for luxury and bespoke DMCs, travel designers and inbound tour operators. We did not find MICE features described on its website.
Can we keep Tourwriter for leisure trips?
Yes. If you also design bespoke leisure trips, you can keep a leisure tool for those and run your corporate programs in DMC Pilot.
The bottom line for DMCs
Tourwriter is a good fit for luxury and bespoke leisure travel. That is a different business from running corporate programs.
For a DMC delivering meetings, incentives and events, DMC Pilot is the better choice. One system takes you from the proposal to the ground. Flights are tracked live, and transfers re-time themselves. Your team has day sheets and a phone app. Suppliers work in their own portal, the client has a live page, and you see the margin on every program.
